A motorcycle thought to have disappeared for almost 50 years has returned to the National Motorcycle Museum – bringing two of Fred Marsh’s extraordinary home-built creations together for the first time in decades.
Some motorcycles are rare. Some are technically fascinating. And then there are motorcycles like the 1963 Marsh 500cc V8 – machines with a story that is almost as remarkable as the engineering itself.
Hand-built by Southampton engineer Fred Marsh, the V8 was created in the 1960s after Marsh had already produced an extraordinary four-cylinder racing motorcycle.
