I'm in a process to get my matchless G3L, year 1949 road legal here in Germany and it's (as the rest of the world knows) not that easy with TUV. What I'd need fistly are technical details ideally a copy of a registation doc. with lots of details.
Please fax a copy to +49 9122 76431 if you can help me,
Thank's a lot and kind regards

Converting a 51 18CS scrambler to a "street scrambler" which means a low pipe and a dual seat. Having much trouble making the headpipe-to-muffler connection; the pipes all seem to want to go right thru the 25 lb cast iron footpegs. Anybody have a suggestion?
I believe the US club does NOT know of annother Matchless G-11 roadster that I have in the family; I think they only show 2 in the USA. Also have and ride a Bultaco T, a Greeves TFS, an MAR OSSA, a B-40T BSA, and other pieces my wife has yet to get a full count on.
My son has a g-11 Matchless that you may not know of.

First time checking the web site - very impressive! I especially appreciate photo of unrestored '67 G80GS - I can use as a reference for the muffler bracket I need to get made for mine. Had a nice long ride on some great Michigan backwoods dirt roads yesterday. What a joy! The old thumper has never run better, and I've had it 24 years.

Always owned an old Triumph, but thought the G80 Matchless was a
beautiful thing. I live in the Northeast US. If anyone knows
of a street worthy Matchless/AJS going begging, let me know.

I have just inheretted an racing AJS in excellent condition
which I believe is a single cylinder 500cc from the early
1960's. My Dad David Berry used to race up until 1962 but
acquired this bike in the late 60's early seventees. I wish
to restore it into full racing form and to its former glory.
Any specialists who can help me with identification,
publications and ideas... I would be happy to hear from you.
I will soon create a site at http://www.citec.co.za/ajs/ so
everyone can see my progress and lend a hand. Lets call it
a virtual restoration process. This forum (project) should
be great for enthusiasts - the bike is in excellent
condition. Fax : +27-11-7874259
