Hi,this seems an excellent club and web site,if I ever come to live on your side of the pond I will join up. In the mean time I am trying to put together my 1958 G12CS,bought in the states and missing various parts. I like your site very much. I am looking to purchase a Matchless, preferably one from before about 1961, that I can work on and restore myself. I would love any help anyone here can give. I have not yet found one that is in that condition, most seem to be already restored, and out of my price range! Anyway, thanks, and ride on.--Lauren

i have inherited a Matchless G3L (1941), i would like to know if you have any photos of this bike so i could repaint the bike, i am not sure if this model was only used by the army (and the original colours are the army trim) or if any bikes were manufactured for civilian use. Where can i get User manuals too?

Resoration in progress and will be looking for info., parts and support on nearest suppliers. This bike sat in a barn with the engine/trans open to the humidity for 25 yrs. I soaked the trans in diesel for a year before dismantel. I will need to do a complete crank rebuild. Most all the sheel medal is complete. No mag or gen. Wheels need rims and respoking. I have a good suppler in Bikes&Bits in Hartsell, TN. Fred is knowledgeable and has the old spares. I am now a Yahoo e-mail user at wowbilly46 Regards wowbilly46
