Hi, great site. Sadly I no longer have my '60 G12CSR, sold years ago in a mad moment, but hoping to replace it soon with similar. Hey, might even consider one of those AJS thingies...... Keep the rubber side down. Dan.

I just acquired this bike in complete but rusty condition. I'm thinking of doing a low budget restoration to a cafe racer style. Is there anyone familiar with this model who might be able to help?

I'm working on a website about pre-war Matchlesses. My problem is only that I have a lot of free space, and too less pitures of Matchless bike's from before 1940. If you have a nice picture of your Matchless, please sent it to me.

Its good to see so many people still interested in AJS. The reason why I'm visiting this site is that my great grandfather was a junor TT winner in 1929 his name was Freddie Hicks who tragicaly died in the isle of man in 1931. I'm a designer and i'm looking into the designs of the 996cc AJS (sv V-twin)1930.

I recently aquired a 1960 G12CSR. It was part of a group purchase. I need to get an idea of its value in as is condition. It has been sitting inside since 1966. It has 5k miles and is in extremely nice original un molested condition. It is about 98% perfect except it has a broken crank and the engine is apart and out. It came with al new parts to repair. The new crnak is still in the original wooden box it was shipped in back in 1966. How rare is this beauty? I am interested in selling. Thanks for any help.

Subject: Big singles valve adjustment cover plate oil leaks. After removing cover, clamp to drillpress table. Spotface the three casting boss's with a one half inch end mill untill a full circle appears. No more. This will give the gasket a flat surface to land on. Tighten acorn nuts by hand only. Should work fine.

Just purchased 2 x A.J.S. 500 singles that I suspect are late '49 though stamped "50", one rigid and one springer, & 38 numbers apart. Does anyone know of an information source on the net(or elsewhere) where I can check engine/frame numbers? - cheers

I havn't ridden for years but would never part with my "AJ". I have a number of engine parts for 500CC single mostly and am considering selling off some of them. I have no idea what they are worth but if you have a need for Engine parts E-mail me and I'll see what I can do.

It is heartening to see so many interested and interesting people around the globe with the same sickness. My G12 is in need of some major TLC, so i either need enough encouragement to finish it, or someone to take it off my hands.
