The G11 was manufactured from 1956 until 1958. The AJS equivalent is the AJS 30. It is basically a G9 (500cc) bored out (to 600cc) with a higher compression ratio. US models of the Matchless typically have a red tank with chrome panels while AJS's have a blue tank with chrome panels. New in 1956, these sold for approximately £260.
