Great site. Does anyone have a distributor for a S8 Sunbeam, reasonably priced?

A smashing website... Just enjoyed a truly heart-rending visit with a great old friend - your '51 Matchless G9. I rode a '53 just like it to high school. Had a '51 basket case for parts. The '53 was a very special bike, never even heard of another like it. It had all the stuff to quickly convert it for either road racing or street use. It had: twin carb setup & single. Standard exhausts and tuned pipes w/megaphones, standard and full race cams. Standard & high ratio sprockets, clip ons and rearward extended shift, brake and pegs, Smiths Tach & speedo. Boy I wish I had it today.

my first motorcycle ride was on a Matchless and I never forgot it. My 73 Commando was the closest thing I could find to buy. Did Matchless ever make a 600cc single? Could have sworn this guy other bike was such. Thanks for the great site. phil

Great site. Based on other comments, it might be nice to have a page for those looking for parts. Anyone have a 20/21 tooth engine sprocket for a 61 G-12? I belong to AJS/MOC (US) and the Canadian Vintage MC Group.

I have a 1921 AJS Twin with a sidecar, and would like to know where I may be able to find some info/pictures. I plan to do a minor restoration/cleanup and would like to know what the original bike was like. Any info or leads to literature/sources would be greatly appreciated. Thankyou.

My first 'real' motorcycle was a 1959 AJS 600cc CS. Didn't know what it was, but HAD to have it! AND who ever heard of a 600cc motorcycle? At the time, they were either 500's or 650's. Great to see how many people have just acquired, or are actively restoring these fine machines. Thus will they be preserved!

My first motorcycle was a 1947 AJS Model 18. It had been repainted purple! I really enjoyed that machine. I've now moved on to Vincents--I have a 1952 Black Shadow and a 1948 Rapide, BUT, there is still a soft spot in my heart for a 1947 Model 18. Maybe someday...
